Patriotic Pinspiration

Okay, so if you are like me and tend toward last-minute preparation for holidays, I’ve got two easy ideas for your Fourth of July festivities.   Of course, I found both on Pinterest (have we connected there yet?) … and I have a whole board dedicated to Summer Stuff with lots of other ideas for the Fourth (which can also be used for Labor Day).

So, ready for my two easy, peasy patriotic treats?

First up …  Strawberries a la Fourth

Too cute, huh?  My daughter who is twelve made these for our Memorial Day celebration earlier this summer.  They were quite the hit at Nana’s house.    Check out Grin and Bake It for simple directions for these All-American Stawberries.   So yummy!

And how about this happy little cookie/candy treat …

We love this Red, White, and Blue Cookie Bark from Love Stitched.  I didn’t add the pretzels to our bark because I didn’t have any on hand.  We just pulled out the red and blue M & M’s from a couple of bags of the candy.  (And of course we had to eat the other colors. LOL)

I love finding great ideas for making holidays – and every day – special on Pinterest.  And we’ve done a couple of Pinterest-inspired projects at The Underwood Abode so be prepared for some pictures of those coming later this summer.

Have you embraced the Pinterest craze?  What’s your favorite Pinterest board?
