Simple Contentment

[I’m also writing at Scripture Dig on the Inward Disciplines and at MOD Squad on Overflowing Goodness today.  Please visit me there as well!]

Over the past few weeks, my blogging has been, shall we say, sporadic?   But the counting?  Oh the counting has continued.  Blessings and joys, gifts and moments, all cataloged carefully to remind me of the necessity of a grateful heart.

So today, I share with you a sampling of the sweetness of simple blessings and a contented heart {Hebrews 13:5}:

{#88 – 114}

cousins on Christmas Eve

baby in the family

“dirty santa” for the grown-ups

favorite new accessories

developing her own style

silly costumes

puppy breath

long, soft ears

BIG surprises!

giggles

absolute shock

Christmas morning silliness

Holidays at “The Cottage”

new binders, notebooks, and folders {the girl loves school supplies!}

First White Christmas in Muscle Shoals history

HUGE snowflakes

Watching the snow fall – for two days!

kids we’ve watched grow up into amazing adults

quiet New Year’s Eve with great friends

favorite foods

my cat

wondering what she’s thinking about the puppy

snuggling with her while he’s playing

exploring and digging and tripping over those ears

playing in the leaves

welcome breaks from daily tasks

Continuing the count,

    • Yes, Meghan, I do love Ann and the gracious way she encourages all of us not to see her but to connect with Him. What a precious soul she has.

    I’m so glad you had a good Christmas and wasn’t it fun to have a white one this year. I’m enjoying the series over on Scripture Dig on spiritual disciplines too. Continuing to pray for you.

    • Thank you so much, Melanie! Isn’t Sarah Mae a sweetie? And I’m glad you have joined us on Scripture Dig too. I appreciate you taking the time to introduce yourself!!

  4. I am glad I have come here to visit today. Your list and photos bless me. Your comment above about Ann and the blessing she is to you and others is a “ditto” for me. I am so glad God uses her and we see Christ in her. Such a blessing to so many.
