{Top Ten} Charleston Faves

Last week we took some of the senior adults from our church to Charleston.  These trips are one of the best parts of Scott’s job … we love traveling with these sweet people who are such blessings to us in so many ways.

So, this week’s Top Ten Tuesday is all about my favorites in Charleston.

10.  The Charleston BLT at  A. W. Shucks … piles of bacon and lettuce with thick fried green tomatoes on a hoagie bun with homemade chips.   Oh. My. Gosh.  Yum!!

9.   All the cool pictures at Hyman’s Seafood … and look who else had eaten at my table.

8. Beautiful homes.

7.  Ivy … on front porch steps, covering walls and fence posts.  It was everywhere.

6.   My caramel latte from Toast … best. coffee. ever.

5. Moon Pie General Store … We picked up several things for the girl in here, including the most disgusting thing I’ve ever put in my mouth – bacon jelly beans.  Gag. {Prince William and Kate are registered at this very store … on their list are matching Moon Pie tee-shirts.  Scott thought we should have gotten the shirts to see if we’d get a royal thank you.}

4.  Our carriage ride tour through downtown … so informative and our tour guide was awesome!

3.  The gorgeous window boxes … Made me want to add window boxes at my house!

2.  Touring the Yorktown and visiting the Medal of Honor Museum.

1.  Spending the week with this guy … an amazing tour guide, fabulous husband, and my very best friend.

My favorite parts of vacationing are the food and touring the local sites.   What are your favorite things to do on vacation?

    • It is that beautiful … so is Savannah. I must say, it’s very nice living so close to so many amazing and historic places.

    • Thanks! I love Charleston … and wished I was a better photographer so I could do a better job of capturing its beauty.

  1. I was scrolling through this with my sons next to me this morning. We got to your husband’s picture and my youngest said, “Hey, he looks like dad!” I thought you’d get a kick out of that!
