2013 Reading List

2013 Reading List www.terilynneunderwood.com/blog

I read a lot.

Like around 100 to 150 books a year, on average.  I pretty much devour the written word.  If you are on Goodreads, I’d love to connect.  Please send me your recommendations!

People ask me what I’m reading with some regularity.  And I love looking through the reading lists of others, like my friend Sandra.  So, I thought it would be fun to add a reading list here.  So, in no particular order, here are the books I’ve read this year.  {If I’ve done a review, I’ll add the link to that as well.}  Also, you should know, most links are affiliate links so should you decide to purchase through them, you’ll be taking a little bit of pressure of my sweet husband who works hard to pay for my book addiction. 🙂

** indicates books I have previously read but read again this year.

Read the Psalms this summer with Scripture Dig!

  1. I have read 10 of those. I actually reread the Hunger Games series last weekend. Good books. I have read more this month than I have all year.Signing up with Netgalley was a good bad thing. FYI- my reveiw of your book is on my blogtoday.

      • True, although I still manage to get 100-120 per year (goal is 10/month) and people think I’m crazy. So I can’t imagine how crazy they think you are!?!?!?!
I have another friend who reads crazy-fast too so we are NOT alone in this world of reading a lot. (PS: Finished #27 last night, still have about 8 nonfiction going at a chapter apiece that I rotate around.)

  2. I loved going through your list. I am reading Teresa of Avila this year too but Her Interior Castle.. I attended a long retreat last summer where we review that book and studied Teresa. I want to revisit is and slowly savor more of her thoughts this year.

I too am a huge reader and have lots of books going at once. One thing i am doing though this is is selecting three books to reread with more depth and application. I read a couple of chapters, takes notes and journal. Interior Castle is one of those. The other two are John 14 in the bible and The Cloud of the Unknowing by Butcher.

Please keep sharing your list periodically. I really enjoyed seeing what you are reading.

    • Thank you, Jean! I have about 15ish books I read almost every year. The Rest of God has become one of them. BUt I love the idea of choosing three to re-read with intention. I may adopt that plan as well.
