{31 Verses to Pray for Your Girl} Psalm 72:4

Welcome to Day 11 of 31 Verses to Pray for Your Girl!

Today’s verse is especially meaningful to me as I consider one of my favorite organizations — Work of Worth! I’m so happy to partner with this incredible group of people and share my own curated collection of favorite items from their artisans around the world. {You can read more about Work of Worth and see my curated collection at the end of this post.}

Scripture:

May (s)he defend the cause of the poor of the people, give deliverance to the children of the needy, and crush the oppressor.

Psalm 72:4

Prayer:

Just as You, O Lord, are tenderhearted toward those who are poor and oppressed, I pray my girl will have a heart of compassion and mercy for those in need.  Grant her the willingness to act on behalf of those who are unable to act for themselves and to speak out for those who have no voice.

Amen

#PrayersforGirls based on Psalm 72:4

Work of Worth is an organization dedicated to utilizing the power of commerce to free the oppressed throughout the world. WoW exists primarily as an import and distribution company for entrepreneurs and businesses in the developing world that model Work of Worth’s ethos, funneling western commerce to businesses that pay fair wages and develop impoverished areas. Work of Worth (WoW) is a group of business people who desire to leave the world a better place by employing entrepreneurs in freedom and dignity.

If we want to be women who pursue justice, one of the most important and impactful ways we can act is to support fair trade enterprises and choose to spend our money in ways that benefit others the most.  Work of Worth offers us a great way to do that.  Take a peek at my curated collection — and show your girl how to live in a way that positively impacts the poor and oppressed in a meaningful and practical way.  Shop my collection here.
