5 Reasons to Choose DaySpring Planners

The next 12 months are full of big stuff for the Underwoods.  My book release and Casiday’s senior year are sort of the bookends to all the ink poured out on our calendars.

I’m always a planner nerd … and it’s not unusual for me to switch planners if the one I’m using doesn’t work for me.  In fact, that very thing happened last November.  DaySpring was having a great sale on their 2016-2017 planners so I ordered one.

And I fell in love.

Seriously. I’ve tried pretty much every planner out there — from the super expensive to the super cheap basic. So this year, when the 2017-2018 planners came out, there was no doubt I was getting one. And, of course I wanted to tell you all the great things about these planners.

DaySpring planners are well-made, beautifully designed, extremely functional. And their new add-on line makes them by far one of the most useful and affordable planners available.

5 Reasons to Choose a DaySpring Planner

Full disclosure: The awesome folks at DaySpring sent me one of the new planners before they were released so I could share about them with you.  But I did buy my own planner last year … and I gave them as Christmas gifts to five people I adore. Okay, now that’s out of the way.

Here’s what I must have in a planner —

  • plenty of space for writing tasks each day
  • both monthly and weekly calendar views
  • space to write on the weekends too (Why do so many calendars make Saturday and Sunday slots so small?)
  • pages for notes, etc.
  • durability
  • portability
  • Also, I really need my planner to be cute.

And let me tell you — these DaySpring planners are all of this and more!!

So, here are the five reasons to choose a DaySpring planner.

Space, space, and more space

Seriously! The two-page monthly calendar has plenty of room in the squares (even for people who write big like me!).  The weekly spreads also have loads of room.

Perfect size

According to the DaySpring website, the dimensions are 7″W x 9″H x 7/8″D.  It’s the perfect size for carrying with me and even though it’s an 18-month planner, it doesn’t feel super bulky or heavy.  You can see how it compares in size to my Bible and a book I’m excited about. 🙂

Durable and Beautiful

Y’all, for real … these planners are GORGEOUS! I have the (in)courage planner but every one of the designs is wonderful. Take a peek …

And there are stunning watercolor images, beautiful quotes and Bible verses, and pretty graphic designs throughout the planners.

Plus, the covers are laminated and the pages are thicker than many of the other planners I’ve tried. While a Sharpie will bleed through, most every other pen I’ve tried has not.

Great extras

I mentioned how much I need space for notes and these planners definitely have that.  With a column added to each monthly view as well as three different styles of paper (plain, lined, and boxes) in the back, there is room for adding in all those details you don’t want to forget.

Each planner also includes three pages of stickers to use on your calendars.  Two pages are labeled and one is blank. I’m finding these particularly helpful with all the big stuff on our calendar in the coming year.

And I LOVE the pockets in the back. Perfect for me to tuck away those appointment cards, etc., until I have time to transfer the info into the calendar.

Fun add-ons

This might be my favorite part! No joke! DaySpring has the most amazing collection of add-ons for the new planners.  Everything from paper clips to sticky notes, memo note pages and washi tape … it’s available. And adorable. Take a peek —

Comments

  1. I love these planners, except I prefer a vertical weekly layout. I find I can actually write more as I use mine as a faith journal.

  2. I have been using a bullet journal, and while I love it I don’t like drawing my monthly and weekly spreads. Since you have these planners do you have space to write goals, action plans or set up editorial calendars as that is what I use my bullet journal for.
