Resource Recommendation: (in)courage Devotional Bible

Posted on January 22, 2019January 18, 2019by Teri Lynne Underwood
The (in)courage Devotional Bible is a great resource with over 300 devotions written by 100+ women in various seasons of life, ten reading plans, Women of Courage highlights, and more.

People ask me all the time about Bibles. Usually they ask me what Bible they should get. I know a lot of people have one answer they give to everyone. But when someone asks me, I always have a bunch of questions for them before I can give an answer. Finding the right Bible for […]

My Favorite Advent Devotionals and Books

Posted on November 20, 2018November 19, 2018by Teri Lynne Underwood
Advent is an invitation to more than checking days off until Christmas. It's an invitation to take stock of our souls, to prepare our hearts for celebrating the One who has come and will one day come again. These are some resources that can help us do that well.

My favorite resources for preparing myself, taking stock of my soul, during the Advent season: God With Us: Rediscovering the Meaning of Christmas — This year will be the sixth year I have used this book as my guide through Advent. My dear friend Kristin sent me a copy after she used it in 2012 […]

What if having a great quiet time isn't as complicated as you think??

In 2012 I wrote a post with tips for a great quiet time … since then, it’s been shared, pinned, tweeted, and viewed thousands of times. It’s a great post and I still believe every word of it. But, Ithought it might be time for a little bit of updating and adding some new ideas […]

An Invitation to Choose Wisdom

Posted on August 12, 2015June 20, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
Choose Wisdom — a brand new resource from Teri Lynne Underwood

My most consistent prayer is for wisdom.  Time and again I find myself crying out to the Lord for the discernment and understanding necessary to navigate life.  I cling to the words of James, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be […]

Quiet Times, West Wing, and Being Invaded

Posted on July 22, 2014April 21, 2016by Teri Lynne Underwood
What if we focused less on having a perfect quiet time and more on connecting with the Perfect One?

Wow! Yesterday’s post spoke to several of you. Thanks for sharing on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. I loved the comments on Instagram too … gotta love getting a “Boom!” about a post! {Thanks, Stef! And I loved this post she wrote about moms needing their own Bible time.} I’ve often wondered why my most popular posts are […]

Love these Bible Study Resources!

The Daily Grace Co. is one of my favorite places for Bible study resources. Gospel-driven studies, beautiful journals, and more.
This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
