For Your Weekend {Easter Edition} ... great ideas for using Easter eggs, celebrating friendships, and leaning into Jesus

I’m sitting here listening to the rain {and hoping the wind won’t blow it in through my open windows} and contemplating the depths of God’s love for me. I hope you know how vast is the love God has for you. Easter is the high point in the Christian church — the celebration of Christ’s […]

For Your Weekend March 13

So, this weekend is supposed to be rainy and that means all I will want to do is wrap up in a blanket on the couch and watch a Blue Bloods marathon on Netflix with Scott. I’ve spent most of this week working on a book proposal but I did go to a class at […]

for your weekend ... january 3, 2015

Oh my word, y’all! It’s Saturday morning and we’re having a little Friends marathon around here.  Thank you, Netflix! {Though we do own all ten seasons on DVD so we’ve been having Friends marathons since before the show went off the air.} I’m currently watching my favorite episode ever: The One with All the Poker. […]

Christmas is almost here!

Christmas is almost here. Can you believe it? I’m still wrapping presents and we even have a few gifts left to purchase. But we’re almost done. And I suppose that’s good since our family celebrations begin Monday. I’ve read some wonderful posts over the past few weeks about preparing your heart for Christmas and I […]

The big news this week is I got my hair cut and colored. Isn’t it amazing how a great cut and color can make you feel so much better. Just like my clothes were adding extra stress in my day, so was my hair. I actually spent some time looking for the best style for my face shape. As […]

My favorite time of year has arrived — college football season!! Last night Texas A&M beat Steve Spurrier’s team at South Carolina without Johnny Manziel and I was delighted! The […]

Love these Bible Study Resources!

The Daily Grace Co. is one of my favorite places for Bible study resources. Gospel-driven studies, beautiful journals, and more.
This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
