Last year I was a part of Holley Gerth’s God-Sized Dream Team. I wrote several posts about what my dream looks like and how fear can sometimes stymie me. This year, I’m really living my dream.  In the ten weeks between February 1 and April 6, I have spoken or will be speaking at ten events {and on a panel at another!}. I look at my calendar and I’m just amazed at all God has done in the past year.

But there is another huge factor in all this dreams-coming-true business — my husband believes 100% in me. In fact, he often believes when I don’t.  He pushes me and challenges me … and sometimes I even get frustrated because he doesn’t let up! Of course, I need that. {Remember, I am a better starter than finisher.}

We’ve had a lot of conversations about dreams and plans and the future.  We’d love to do marriage conferences one day. And we’ve even tossed around a few book ideas. We’re hoping to write  a Christmas worship program for our church.

We also share ideas about fixing up houses. We dream about what we’ll do when our girl heads off to college {besides cry!!}. We talk about glamping and “someday” vacations.

There’s something very intimate about sharing your dreams. It makes us vulnerable. And it makes us connected even more deeply.  And really, isn’t that one of the best investments we can make in our marriages?

When was the last time you and your husband dreamed together?

Cheering you on,
TL
