28 Days 28 Ways: Investing In Your Marriage || TeriLynneUnderwood.com

Hi friends! We had a great D Now weekend with the students from our church and our community. If you are on Instagram, I shared a ton of photos.

But, now it’s Monday. My house is in desperate need of order after two days with 10 teenage girls. My body is in dire need of sleep. And at some point, I’m going to have to wash the towels all those girls used.  All of that and I’m speaking again this weekend {can’t wait!} so I need to get my talk finished up.  Oh and I’m still teaching in Ezekiel which means I definitely have to study more before Wednesday.

This week looks pretty full. I’d guess yours is probably the same.

And maybe you are like me … the busier you are, the more task oriented you become. Focused on the the plethora of tasks at hand, it is pretty easy to get irritable when we get interrupted. But here’s what I’m finding, the busier I am, the more I need to choose joy in my life. I need to look for the funny moments and make time to slow down and enjoy the life we have.

Laugh Together || Teri Lynne Underwood

It’s just too easy to get caught up in the hectic pace and daily minutia of life and forget to laugh. We need to guard against that in our marriages. We need to laugh together. Really! We do … laughing together when everything is in utter chaos is far better than getting frustrated and saying words we don’t really mean. Laughing together can diffuse stressful situations. It physically good for you. Laughter relaxes us and refocuses us. We need to laugh.

Make time for laughter … and laugh together. Whether it’s watching a favorite funny movie, retelling those stories of past antics, or listening to your kids tell crazy knock-knock jokes … just laugh!

When was the last time you and your husband just laughed together?

Cheering you on!
