Construction Zone: Attitude

Under Construction
October 16, 2006

All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.  Proverbs 16:2

God, THIS is my struggle – I always “feel” like I’m justified in my attitudes and actions.  But You know my heart, my motives, and so often they are selfish.  Forgive me … change me.  I long to be a reflection of You – to honor You and to please You.

You alone can change me … give me the courage to let go and allow You the freedom to do it.

Attitudes.  Motives.  Heart.
These are those ongoing prayers in my life.  That my attitude “will the same as that of Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5) … that my motives will be pure … that my heart will be conformed to His.

Memorizing Philippians 2:5-11 has  helped me refocus on what that attitude of Christ looks like.  Humble, serving, and obedient.

What passages have helped you be conformed to Christ?
