Construction Zone: Seeking Justice

Under Construction
August 21, 2005

Every time I read this chapter I am reminded of speaking in Chapel at SBU on verse 9.  Lord, forgive me!  I had such a great opportunity to be a witness for You .. and instead I was selfish and rebellious.  How I wish I could go back and change that.

Justice is joy to the godly, but it causes dismay among evildoers.  Proverbs 21:15

In what ways do I actively promote justice in my home, work and community?
I generally try to promote justice in most things.  I am weakest at home – and is an area I need to focus on improving.  S and C get the least of me – and it should be the opposite.

I have to say, this month has been tough in many ways!  Reading back through my journals and seeing so many areas where the Lord is STILL working on me has reminded me just how easy it is to slip into old sinful patterns.  But today was encouragement.

I have had the opportunity through Facebook to reconnect with many people from my college days and it has been a blessing to share with them the way God has changed me and my life.  And, over the past five years, I have become much more intentional in my home … making every effort to give my family the best of me instead of the leftovers.

In what ways have you grown over the past few years?

  1. Teri, I have really enjoyed your posts this month. I know that you had a very hectic month, beginning with a visit from some pesky family who needed a place to stay 🙂 {Thanks, again for everything!} But each day I have looked forward to seeing what you'll post from the past and how you link it to your life today. Love you!
