Praying for You

And so, this is it … my final scheduled post for 2010. I’ll be taking the next three weeks to enjoy the holidays and do some traveling.  January is looking very slow on our family’s calendar and very exciting on my blogging calendar!  I cannot wait to share with you the truths God has been working out in my heart over the past weeks.

As I write this, I know that I’ll probably pop back in at least a time or two to share some verse or thought or song that has touched my heart.   {I like to do that, you know.} But, this day, with just five days left until we celebrate the birth of our Savior, my heart is full of gratitude for each of you who wander through these pages, sharing this journey with me, and encouraging me with your thoughtfulness and insights.   You are one of the sweetest gifts to me this season!

Father, thank You for these beautiful ones who seek You and shine You.   That You would bring each of them alongside me for even a moment of life’s travels is a precious thing and I am humbled and filled with gratitude.   I don’t know their stories, their sorrows, their joys … but You do.  You are the One who SEES!  And I pray that in these days of chaos and constant motion, You will gift them with moments of Peace.   I ask You, Most High God, to build a thorny hedge of protection around their homes and their hearts.    As we build our homes across this earth You have given us, may we in turn, give back to You every pillow, plate, and person … and in doing so, may we find the abundance of Your table spread before us.   We praise You, Lord, for You alone are worthy!  In Your Son’s Name, for He is our Savior, Amen.

With much love and gratitude, I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas!
