I adore Freeset bags! I have three ... and every single time I carry one I get asked where I got it. I love answering that question! For the second year in a row, I'm thankful to be a part of Freeset's Christmas campaign to raise awareness about what they do and women they help. They call it 12 Days of Freedom ... I call it a great way to buy an awesome bag for someone on your list! Here's what Freeset does: Freeset is in business for freedom. Freedom from human trafficking. Freeset is a ... [Read More]
How Great Thou Art
We gathered together like we do each month. We sit facing our audience who waits expectantly. They are a beautiful bunch, this gathered assembly. I smile as I glance at their now familiar faces. We sing about the sweet by and by and the lily of the valley, some join in with our motley little choir, others simply nod along as the familiar words touch a soft spot in tired hearts and wearing out bodies. Last night one of my dearest friends watched her husband be wheeled into an operating room for surgery. Not just any surgery ... heart transplant surgery. I've sat beside the bed of my husband ... watching his chest move up and down as the machines forced ... [Read More]
Living in the Overflow
This past weekend I was honored to speak at the Walking Wounded Conference in Brunswick, Georgia. As the final speaker, I had the opportunity to listen to women from across the Golden Isles share about the ministries available in that area for women who are dealing with issues ranging from pornography to post-abortive stress. I thought I'd share a bit from my talk titled "Living in the Overflow." We can never live in the abundance, the overflowing fullness, until we are prepared to give up ... [Read More]
