This morning when I was having my quiet time I realized it is Friday the 13th. Which of course took me back to my high school days in the late 1980s and made me think of all the horror/slasher films that I watched {and by watched I mean held my hands above my eyes as I screamed and jumped in the theater}. And that made me think about the time we took our senior adults from Georgia on a trip to the Smoky Mountains and they wanted to do Ripley's Haunted House in Gatlinburg. Y'all, I literally ... Simple Bible Study for Busy Women
Last week I was talking to my friend Britta. We were dreaming about some big ideas God has placed inside our hearts and brainstorming together some of the ways we could partner to see those ideas turn into realities. One of the passions we share is encouraging women to interact with Scripture and to help them see how the Word of God intersects with daily life. It's no secret around here how deeply passionate I am about the value of daily time in the Word ... but I'm equally desperate to ... [Read More]

Maybe you deal with the same thing? Perhaps you have a baby or toddler ... [Read More]

Some of my favorite teachers and leaders are a part of this network. Names you know like David Platt, FamilyLife, ... [Read More]
Tools of the Trade: Resource Recommendations
Honestly, this is hard to do. I have so many favorites resources. But I'm going to narrow it down to just a few suggestions in several categories. Bibles: I love my New Living Translation Life Application Study Bible for devotional reading. I use the English Standard Version for most of my writing and study. {Which you can get free for Kindle or Kindle apps!} My favorite study Bible is the Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible. Devotions: Jesus Calling Streams in the Desert Study Tools ... [Read More]
