Living Counter Culturally … Only Through Christ

Posted on November 4, 2015January 5, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
This life we’re called to, the transformed life of a believer, is a powerful and beautiful thing. But it can be a little scary, right? Because when we live for Christ, when we’re committed to Him, we will find ourselves in opposition to the world. And, for those of us who like everything calm and steady and for everyone to get along, choosing a life we know will lead us into conflict and make us stand out can be incredibly frightening. But here’s what I know: We are not alone! God is with us. Always.

Welcome to day 29 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life. You can find every post in this series indexed here. First off, let me just say THANK YOU for your enthusiasm for the Prayers For Girls community. Y’all, I’ve been overwhelmed by the response. As I wrote Monday, I truly believe […]

I Can’t Do It All

Posted on October 22, 2015October 21, 2015by Teri Lynne Underwood
This is the thing … I can’t do it all. And I especially can’t do it all when I’m exhausted. But here’s the even better thing … I don’t have to do it all! And neither do you! God created us to be needy and dependent. He intended for us to know our inadequacies and weaknesses. Why? Because He longs for us to depend entirely on Him.

Welcome to day 22 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life.  You can find all the posts indexed here. You know those days when you finally fall into bed and realize you were busy all day but you can’t really think of anything you actually accomplished? Yeah, me neither. {If only there was […]

Love these Bible Study Resources!

The Daily Grace Co. is one of my favorite places for Bible study resources. Gospel-driven studies, beautiful journals, and more.
This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
