Posted on November 9, 2015November 9, 2015by Teri Lynne Underwood

Living Counter Culturally … Only Through Christ

Posted on November 4, 2015January 5, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
This life we’re called to, the transformed life of a believer, is a powerful and beautiful thing. But it can be a little scary, right? Because when we live for Christ, when we’re committed to Him, we will find ourselves in opposition to the world. And, for those of us who like everything calm and steady and for everyone to get along, choosing a life we know will lead us into conflict and make us stand out can be incredibly frightening. But here’s what I know: We are not alone! God is with us. Always.

Welcome to day 29 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life. You can find every post in this series indexed here. First off, let me just say THANK YOU for your enthusiasm for the Prayers For Girls community. Y’all, I’ve been overwhelmed by the response. As I wrote Monday, I truly believe […]

Hope, the Anchor for Our Souls

Posted on October 28, 2015October 29, 2015by Teri Lynne Underwood
In this culture that idolizes power and position, money and might, hope often gets lost in the shuffle. Jesus said we are to be the light of the world and y’all, I can’t think of anything that shines brighter against the backdrop of hopelessness than the hope we have in Christ! Hope Does Not Disappoint

Posted on October 27, 2015January 5, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
People and circumstances will often leave us disappointed. But, as believers, we can have confidence that even when the things of this world are not what we desire, hope does not disappoint.

Welcome to day 27 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life. You can find every post in this series indexed here. Have you ever been disappointed? I know, right … of course. We have all experienced those moments when something we expected didn’t happen or, sometimes even worse, it didn’t happen the […]

This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
