Simple Reduction

“Think simple” as my old master used to say – meaning reduce the whole of its parts to the simplest terms, getting back to first principles. ~ Frank Lloyd Wright

Simple … “getting back to first principles”.

What are my “first principles”?

I suppose this will be the year of finding that out … what will remain when all has been edited, culled, and released.

Undoubtedly there will be some trial and error, some starts and stops, along the way.   But isn’t that what all of life is?  Learning, growing, changing.

In advance I ask your gracious understanding as I meander my way through this process.

And may I also request your prayers today as I spend my morning at Care Net, ministering to women in crisis and offering the hope we have for life through the Giver of all Life?

  1. Ahhh… the editing process. It’s much like those little ped-egg thingees. The scraping off of stuff that served it’s purpose – but now needs to go. Not always that much fun, no matter how neat the packaging looks! 🙂

BUT…You will make it through and your manuscript will be better for it. Stronger, leaner and a streamlined vessel for the Lord to pour through!

  2. It seems like at every turn my life is getting more complicated, yet whenever I set aside time for God, I somehow seem to manage. It’s funny how taking 15 minutes at the beginning of the day smooths out the rest of it. It’s really quite counterintuitive.
