What Is Your Desire for 2014?
January 2, 2014. Really? Seems surreal to me. I'm finding the truth in what my grandmother says about time going faster the older you get. Seems like just yesterday I was anticipating 2013 and being a part of Holley Gerth's God Size Dream Team. And here I sit, a year later, realizing I still don't have a real understanding of what direction God is leading me. It's weird starting a new year with no real sense of direction. Yesterday I wrote in my journal, "I don't have a One Word for this ... [Read More]
My Top Blog Posts of 2013

5 Must Have Moments This Christmas
I've been thinking about what I really want this Christmas ... What are the moments I want embedded in my memory from this year's celebration of Christ's birth? I've learned if I don't identify what really matters to me, I'll get consumed with the details of what time to start the sweet potato casserole and which gifts go to which gathering and ultimately miss out on the very best moments of the season. So I made a list, as we Type A people are prone to do. A list of sights and sounds I want ... [Read More]
Whispers of Hope by Beth Moore {Book Review}
I have to admit. I'm looking forward to 2014. Well, except the part where my girl starts high school next fall. I have mixed emotions about that part of the coming year. But the truth is, after all the craziness of 2013, I have high hopes for next year. I'm anticipating some incredible things — I'm headed into the new year with an open heart and eager mind for what the Lord wants to do in me. A key component to starting a year well for me is finding a great book to use for my quiet time in ... [Read More]
