{action step} Breathe

I don't know about you but when I look at the calendar and see it's already November 8, I feel the panic attack coming.  We're getting really close to that crazy time of year when life seems to erupt into utter chaos and we are supposed to be four places at once and I finally end up saying, "We're not going anywhere!" Of course, with a teenager and a husband in ministry and as a work-at-home mom, the truth is, our calendar sort of looks like an ink explosion all the time. I'm guessing I'm not ... [Read More]

Content in This Season

I'm leading an (in)couragers group right now for moms of teenagers.  This session of (in)couragers ends on Friday so I asked the ladies in my group what they had liked most about participating ... here's what some of them said: I love how open everyone has been, how warm and welcoming, and just feeling connected to you all. It means a lot! The connection to others who know about teens since I am really new at this. Feeling like I have a new support system. Knowing I am not alone, and ... [Read More]

Great! Me too!! I keep asking myself this question: Are you REALLY content in Christ? I ... [Read More]

We Learn Contentment

Waaaay back at the beginning of this series I shared one of the truths of living well: We can be content.  This week, we're going to spend some time unpacking this concept and exploring what true contentment looks like in the heart, mind, and life of a believer. Paul wrote in his letter to the Philippians: Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, ... [Read More]

{Sunday Scripture} Psalm 90:12

As you look at the week ahead, remember this: God sees what you can't and knows what you don't. Ask Him to grant you wisdom as you plan and prepare. We've been memorizing Scripture each week during this 31 Days of Living Well series.  So far, we've learned John 10:10 and Colossians 3:23.  Will you join me in embedding these verses to remind ourselves of what the abundant life looks like? ...
