Living Counter Culturally … Only Through Christ

Posted on November 4, 2015January 5, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
This life we’re called to, the transformed life of a believer, is a powerful and beautiful thing. But it can be a little scary, right? Because when we live for Christ, when we’re committed to Him, we will find ourselves in opposition to the world. And, for those of us who like everything calm and steady and for everyone to get along, choosing a life we know will lead us into conflict and make us stand out can be incredibly frightening. But here’s what I know: We are not alone! God is with us. Always.

Welcome to day 29 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life. You can find every post in this series indexed here. First off, let me just say THANK YOU for your enthusiasm for the Prayers For Girls community. Y’all, I’ve been overwhelmed by the response. As I wrote Monday, I truly believe […]

Giving Generously of Yourself

Posted on October 14, 2015October 14, 2015by Teri Lynne Underwood
The most generous thing we can do is to share ourselves - not just our best ideas and shined up faces but our whole selves. The successes and failures, the experiences and the escapades, the every days and the exciting dreams are all a part of your story.

Welcome to day 14 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life. You can find an index of every post in this series here. Today we’re wrapping up our conversation about generosity in a counter cultural life. Our world is greedy. We know that, we see it every day. But I think it […]

Generosity in a Hoarder’s World

Posted on October 12, 2015March 31, 2016by Teri Lynne Underwood

Welcome to day 12 of STAND OUT: 7 traits of a counter cultural life. You can find every post indexed here. Have you ever watched that show on TLC about hoarders? Y’all, it honestly freaks me out a little bit. I see all those piles and piles of stuff and I can begin to feel […]

Love these Bible Study Resources!

The Daily Grace Co. is one of my favorite places for Bible study resources. Gospel-driven studies, beautiful journals, and more.
This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
