Your Favorite Posts of 2014

2014 is over and this week my goal is to get back into my blogging groove. December was a crazy month and while I did LOVE sharing some Advent thoughts from the Gospel of Luke every day on Facebook, I didn’t manage to blog as much as I had hoped.

So, here we are in January. My girl goes back to school on Wednesday so we’re relishing our last bit of Christmas break with some shopping and salon-ing. {Yeah, I just made up that word.} I’m looking forward to some fun family time before we jump back into the world of homework and early alarms and cheerleading.

And I’m sure by this point you are all wondering if I’m ever going to get to the point of this post. Sorry. Sometimes I forget I’m typing and just chat with you like I would if we were together having coffee. I hope you don’t mind that too much. 🙂

I truly love when people share all their “best of … ” posts from the previous year.  So, buckle up friends, because today and tomorrow I’m sharing some of the favorites around here.  Today, it’s all about your favorites … the posts you all loved the most from the past year. In full disclosure, I did not include the gift idea posts or posts I wrote before this year … so these are the ones you all commented on and shared and seemed to connect to the most when I wrote them in 2014.

I love that these posts are about parenting and marriage and also a few fun fashion posts … and, of course, the way you loved on me so well after my heart attack in April.

So, here they are … your favorite posts from 2014.

WIWW: Teenage Girl Fashion Edition — While I’m not a faithful fashion blogger, I do love joining the What I Wore Wednesday community periodically. And I also love helping other moms figure out ways to help their teenage girls dress modestly and fashionably. {Plus, isn’t my girl beautiful???!!!}

Parenting is Hard {and some days I just want to give up} — I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in this one.

More Like James — Sharing our experience of moving a 63-year-old man with Down Syndrome into our home … and all the lessons we are learning about love and contentment.
