For Your Weekend {modest is hottest edition}

I'm all about some cute clothes ... even if I can't take a good selfie for anything. And I'm also all about some cute and modest clothes for my girl. Many of you loved this week's post featuring Casiday's adorable outfits so you can definitely expect more of that. In fact, we're brainstorming a few ideas about mother/daughter styling. And since this week has also had its fair share of stress and anxiety about social media, I thought I'd share some of the great resources I've found lately for ... [Read More]

What I Learned in October

Whew ... October is over. JV football season has ended and while our Varsity team is headed to play-offs, my girl and her squad are now practicing basketball cheers. I can't believe how fast this school year is going. We're past mid-terms and looking ahead to Christmas break. Honestly, October wasn't the best month ever. In fact, it was pretty hard. As the foundation for any ... [Read More]

Why & How I Created My Fall Capsule Wardrobe

I sort of began explaining this last week ... but wanted to give a little more information about why and how I created my capsule wardrobe for this fall. Two main questions have come up since I posted last week. The first is always "Why??" My friends at church and at ball games have looked at me like I have two heads when I say I've narrowed my closet down to under 50 items to wear for the next three months. Here's the deal: my life is really busy right now. Between football games, family ... [Read More]

for your weekend

{This post contains affiliate links. If you purchase through them, I will receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.}   Oh y'all! My favorite time of year has arrived — college football season!! Last night Texas A&M beat Steve Spurrier's team at South Carolina without Johnny Manziel and I was delighted! The Vandy game was delayed due to rain and didn't kick off until almost 10 pm. If I hadn't been exhausted from helping unpack at my grandparent's new house all day ... [Read More]
