What Counts as Success?

Posted on August 9, 2016August 9, 2016by Teri Lynne Underwood
When we're obedient and doing whatever it is God has called us to do — we are successful! Whether that is writing a best-selling book or baking cookies for the neighborhood kids, our success is less about what we're accomplishing and more about Who we're serving.

If you’ve ever heard me speak, you’ve undoubtedly heard these two sentences … “Go ahead and take that nap!” and “We have a low standard of success: if no one’s dead and no one’s in jail, it’s a good day.” I know, you’re now thinking, “Holy cow, this girl is crazy!” And yeah, I probably […]

Planted with Hope by Tricia Goyer and Sherry Gore ... perfect fiction read for anyone who has ever felt out of place and wondered if God could see.

What if … We Choose to Be Content

Posted on June 2, 2015June 2, 2015by Teri Lynne Underwood
what if we choose to be content?

Welcome back to my current series “What if … 10 ways to live well in a busy world.” So far we’ve considered what happens if we do something instead of everything, discussed how sometimes good enough really is enough, and explored the value of rest.  Today we’re dealing with another big issue some of us […]

Do you love your life?

Love these Bible Study Resources!

The Daily Grace Co. is one of my favorite places for Bible study resources. Gospel-driven studies, beautiful journals, and more.
This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
