What I’m Reading {September 2015}

Hi all! Since several of you liked last month's update about what I'm reading, I thought I'd share again this month.  I did finish a couple of books and will {eventually} get real reviews written.  But mostly, this month, I've been a slow reader of non-fiction.  {Most of these links are affiliate links which simply means if you purchase through them I will receive a small commission which I will use to buy more books.} The Power of Persistence: Breakthroughs in Your Prayer Life by Michael ... What I’m Reading {August 2015}

I read. A lot. And I am not exceptionally good at keeping my Book List up-t0-date. {understatement} Also, I don't put books I'm re-reading or most fiction books on the list anyway ... so it's never 100% accurate. I never read just one book at a time.  Emily Freeman and Shelly Miller have both written beautiful posts lately about why they read multiple books simultaneously.  And my head nodded in agreement with the words each of them shared. Also, I have found that I need different types of ... [Read More]

Book Review: The Pastor’s Wife by Gloria Furman

While she wrote the book for pastor's wives, I believe ... [Read More]

The Fringe Hours {book review}

I mentioned a few weeks ago how much I love my journaling Bible. I really do. I'm not particularly artistic but I am enjoying learning to do hand lettering and to use Scripture to form my own brand of art. It's becoming one of those releases for me ... a time when I am both challenged and inspired. And I love doing it. {I actually have sold a few of my prints ... who knew??} There is something equally relaxing and stimulating about taking time to do something I love. Whether the something is ... [Read More]

What I Learned in March

So, we are now one quarter through 2015 ... what??? I am joining Emily and a bunch of others sharing what we learned this month. It's so fun to read everyone's discoveries.   Baby animals are awesome! My girl and I spent a couple of days with some friends who have a farm in Tennessee. Dry Hollow Farm had lots of babies for us to hold and feed and generally be goofy about. Pete Wilson who wrote Let Hope In {you know, the book I think EVERYONE should read} has a new book ... 2015 Reading List

Every year I share the books I've read along with the reviews I posted, if applicable. I hope you find some good reads in this list and I'd love for you to share what you're reading in the comments. Also, be sure to check back because I do try to keep this list up-to-date. I'll be reviewing many of these books throughout the year also. Happy Reading!!
