Light in the Dark Places

Posted on May 4, 2017May 4, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
When the enemy speaks shame in our hearts, Let's shine the light of truth into those spaces... and then let's be a light in the dark places of others!

Sometimes we share the darkest parts of our lives so others can have light in their dark places. Light in the dark places. You know what I mean, right?  The dark places. I so rarely speak of mine. There are a million reasons why and some of them might even have a little bit of […]

Stories Matter … Tell Yours

Posted on April 27, 2017April 27, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood
There is one Author of all our stories. Maybe your story is the one that will connect with a broken heart somewhere. Stories matter. Tell yours!

Stories matter. When my husband asked me to share a part of my story for a night of worship at our church on Easter, I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t want to recall the hard and sinful places I’d been. I didn’t want to reopen the scarred over cuts. I didn’t want to […]

Do you really believe God is a good, good Father?

Posted on February 21, 2017February 21, 2017by Teri Lynne Underwood

You’ve heard the song, right? Just in case you haven’t (or you’re like me and LOVE it), here you go … Do you really believe God is a good, good Father? He is. He can’t NOT be. It’s inherent in His character to be truly good, in fact, He alone is the embodiment of good. […]

What if … We Mess Everything Up

Posted on June 16, 2015May 16, 2016by Teri Lynne Underwood
what if we mess everything up {10 way to live well in today's world}

Only a few posts left in the “What if … 10 ways to live well in today’s world” series. It’s funny, when I started planning it, I had no idea how chaotic June was going to be. I knew we had a few things on the calendar but I had no idea the level of […]

Jesus Has Overcome!

Posted on April 27, 2015April 27, 2015by Teri Lynne Underwood
whatever the circumstances of your life, we can trust in His words and promise: Jesus has overcome!

I’ve started and stopped this post several times. What words could I ever string together to explain what the last year has been like. One year ago today I got up like every other Sunday morning and headed to worship with my church family. But by the end of the day I was in the […]

Love these Bible Study Resources!

The Daily Grace Co. is one of my favorite places for Bible study resources. Gospel-driven studies, beautiful journals, and more.
This is hard. And none of us was really prepared for how hard it would be. Here's what I'm finding, even when I don't FEEL hope, I can KNOW hope. Because hope isn't a feeling, hope is a Person. If you're struggling, lean into Jesus.
Why is giving ourselves space in between Bible studies valuable? Two reasons not to jump from study to study.

Not sure what or how to pray? I wrote this book for all of us who want to pray with confidence and power.

Praying for Girls: Asking God for the Things They Need Most (Bethany House, 2017) by Teri Lynne Underwood contains 200 Bible-based prayers as well as suggested activities and conversation starters, Praying for Girls is a must-have tool in every mom’s arsenal.
