What I Learned in August

How is August over?? Y'all ... it is crazy! Tonight is my girl will cheer at the first JV football game of the season. The best part of the end of August is that it brings me to my favorite time of the year — COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!! I can't wait to watch Auburn play Louisville on Saturday. Most months I try to join the lovely Emily as she invites us all to share what we learned.  For those of you who just like pictures, here is my month in images: And here is some explanation and ... What I Learned in March

So, we are now one quarter through 2015 ... what??? I am joining Emily and a bunch of others sharing what we learned this month. It's so fun to read everyone's discoveries.   Baby animals are awesome! My girl and I spent a couple of days with some friends who have a farm in Tennessee. Dry Hollow Farm had lots of babies for us to hold and feed and generally be goofy about. Pete Wilson who wrote Let Hope In {you know, the book I think EVERYONE should read} has a new book ... What I Learned in February

Time to share what we learned in February and link up with the lovely Emily of Chatting at the Sky. I don't always remember to keep track of the little things I've learned each month but I do always love reading everyone else's tidbits. What I Learned in October

Whew ... October is over. JV football season has ended and while our Varsity team is headed to play-offs, my girl and her squad are now practicing basketball cheers. I can't believe how fast this school year is going. We're past mid-terms and looking ahead to Christmas break. Honestly, October wasn't the best month ever. In fact, it was pretty hard. It wasn't difficult for me to switch the calendar to November this year. But, looking back, I realize I did learn a few things. 1. ... [Read More]

What I Learned in August

Hi everyone! It's time to join Emily and a ton of other lovelies to share what lessons the past month has brought. Welcome to the August 2014 of What I Learned!  Finding a rhythm takes time. Y'all, we are 3+ weeks into the school year and still haven't managed to find a good flow. I'm determined not to rush the process and make my family crazy with my need for routine. We'll get there ... and about the time we do, football season will be over and we'll start basketball and it will all be ... [Read More]

What I Learned this Summer

There's this blog I read every day because it's awesome and inspires me and makes me feel like given enough white paint ANYTHING can be beautiful.  Well, the incredible Myquillyn Smith {whose book is amazing!} has a sister who is precious in every possible way.  So, anyway, in all the bizarreness that was my route to She Speaks this year, the coolest moment was getting this email. What??? Let's just say I might have jumped up and down with excitement. Then reality sunk in and I realized I ... [Read More]
